I went to see the movie and loved it, but of course when you read the books and you have all the little details you can expect that the movie will focus on part of those details, or else the movie would be way too long. They did a good job of it overall but the books are addictive. I've devoured all 4 of them 
As for choosing Robert Pattinson to play Edward well...this was a stroke of genius imo....the guy's voice melts like hot caramel and those eyes are just enough to turn your legs to rubber...I'm not sure if I should say he's HOT or really too COOL! Its a perfect blend!
